Privacy Notice
How we collect and use your personal data. Last updated 8 October 2026.
1. Who we are
Scale & Connect is a trading name of Cobify Limited, registered in Ireland under number 815251. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
If you have a question about your data, email members@scaleandconnect.com.
2. What we collect
If you join the mailing list: your name and email address, and whether you open or click our emails.
If you become a member: your name, email address, account login details, membership status and billing history. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our systems — we see only the card type and last four digits.
If you list your business in the directory: business name, sector, location, website, description, logo and a contact email. This is published to other members, which is the point of the directory.
If you post in the community: your profile details and anything you post, which other members can see.
If you contact us: whatever you put in the message.
Whenever you use the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived. See section 6 on cookies.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
To run your membership — creating your account, giving you access, taking payment, dealing with queries. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
To publish your directory listing — showing your business to other members. Basis: performance of our contract, and your consent to publish what you send us.
To send the Weekly Growth Brief and other marketing — Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.
To send service messages — payment receipts, renewal notices, changes to terms. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an account. Basis: performance of our contract.
To keep the site secure and working — spam prevention, fraud prevention, fixing faults. Basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure service.
To understand how the site is used — analytics and advertising measurement. Basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
To meet legal obligations — keeping financial records. Basis: legal obligation.
4. What we never do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not give other members your contact details beyond what you choose to publish in your own listing. We do not add members to any mailing list without consent.
5. Who we share it with
We use the following service providers, who process data on our instructions:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is the controller of your card data under its own privacy policy.
- GoHighLevel — email marketing and the member community space. Based in the United States.
- Our web host — storing the website and its database.
- Google Analytics — website usage statistics. Based in the United States.
- Meta — advertising measurement, where you have consented. Based in the United States.
We may also share data where the law requires it, or with professional advisers where necessary.
Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, security. These do not need consent.
We also use analytics and advertising cookies, which only run if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site. Our Cookie Policy sets out each cookie and how long it lasts.
7. How long we keep it
Account and membership data: while you are a member, and for 12 months after you leave in case you come back.
Directory listings: removed when your membership ends.
Financial records: six years, as Irish tax law requires.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again by mistake.
Enquiries: two years.
8. Your rights
Under data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your data, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send your data to another provider
- withdraw consent, where consent is what we rely on
